Not noticed it doing it here or on the 3 machines I have at home. Have to upgraded your graphics card driver lately? If you haven`t, try grabbing the latest one & installing that. If you have, did it do it beforehand?

its a laptop running a remote screen and only started doing it this week ,however a full reboot of the system including router and modem seems to have solved the glitchy problem for now but the site seems to be slowing down to load in comparrison to other sites i visit and getting lots of " page not available" errors

If it comes back again, check the cable between lappy & monitor, could be a slightly loose connection.

Again, not noticed any problems with loading times or page not available. This could be caused by a number of factors. If it was affecting everyone, I would say its a server problem (shared server) but as its not (at least no one else has mentioned it), its most likely a routing glitch with your ISP probably due to internal maintenance or even BT doing exchange or line upgrades.

And suddenly the pages aren't loading properly! All the formatting has gone and it begins to look as if I had designed the page - it's rather as though it is showing up as your thirteenth draft version during beta testing! Or in 'Safety' mode.

I have tried turning off my computer and turning it on again. I also tried turning off my wife's computer and leaving her to turn it on again. It didn't help my computer load the site, but it made me feel better. I'd turn the dog off as well, but can't find the 'Off' switch. Also she doesn't seem to be plugged in to anything just now. (The dog, that is...)

Is this a piece of P.M.I.? (Panel Man ineptitude). If this doesn't get through, I may have to try to print and put it in a bottle...

Does the fact that my Blueberry is dying at the moment have any bearing on the matter? Because Orange promise me a new I-Phone by Thursday (they didn't say which Thursday, though).

Some Good News and some Less Good News: the site now loads as it used to (Hooray)! But My Avatar isn't. Or rather, it's now an Aven'tar, as it were. It still insists I am 'Buzzing', but my bike has gone! I'd better just check the garage...

Hmmm, very strange. Its loading fine here & also the avatar is showing fine here too. I assume you have done the usual stuff & emptied your internet browser cache etc.?

Er... I did the washing up, if that counts? And took out the recycling. I suspect I may not have quite finished emptying my, um, 'internet browser cache'. Of course I know this very well, ha, ha, ha, but could you give me any indications where I might look for that? It's quite a slim lap top and I opened all the little plastic doors on the case. There was nothing hiding in there at all.

If you open the CD drawer, turn the laptop upside down and shake it, anything in the browser cache should drop out.

Don't forget the wire brush.....that usually loosens the well entrenched files :giggle:
