A letter from my accident claim Solicitor to let me know my final consultants appointment has been delayed until February. It seems as if it's gone on forever. I shall be very glad when it's all over.

I got paid out for the bike as soon as the other insurance company accepted that their driver was at fault which was good, although we had to threaten him with going to court to prove it as he refused to admit anything. Luckily I had several good witnesses so he was never going to win.
The part that is taking longer is the claim for my injuries and also my clothing and helmet. I had multiple fractures so I knew it would be a long wait for the medical side of things to be sorted out. I am waiting for the final consultants report but the waiting list is very long and I just want everything done with. I have my bike and that is what I wanted most. It's just annoying having to wait so long to get it sorted out.
I have asked my Solicitor to tell the appointment people that I can come at short notice so perhaps I'll get lucky and someone will cancel. I'd like to do a training course to get my confidence back up again and the money I should get for all my clothing should cover that.
I was covered for that on my insurance but Bennetts were useless when I tried to make the claim. I sacked them on day two and used Bikelawyer to handle everything apart from the bike. They will make sure I get all the cost of kit back, instead of the £750 limit Bennetts have.

I was sent this pic of my travels around Europe last year, by my friend in Germany. He said in the email this morning that it would remind me of the good time we had riding around in the sun.....& now it's snowing outside

On Sunday I was out for a ride on the Exup. It rode ok at low revs but anything above where the main jets kick in it felt as though it was running on 3 cylinders. So I got home early from work & set about taking the spark plugs out.

Not what I was expecting of a set of NGKs that are only about 3,000 miles old (the corrosion on plug 3 is because there's nowhere for water to go if left on the sidestand after a ride in the rain)

125 miles in 4 hours that's considered quick try the A21 on a Bank holiday :p

Yesterday not today - had a little off!!

Turning left a T-junction following a car, he went, then slammed his brakes on - I was far enough back so did the same, but lost the front in some gravel - got it stopped but dropped it! :bhead:

Fortunately only real damage is a few scratches to the fairings, a rather nicely bent clutch lever - and a bit of a sore wrist.

    Felt like a proper plum!:phead:

grrrrr, very nearly did The same on Friday when the vehicle in front of me hit the brakes hard as a old man suddenly decided to cross on a zebra crossing,
luckily there was enough space for me to come along side , sphincter tightening moment though :(

After my smile thinking of a great round trip to Arundel, when I arrived I relised I had no wallet, and hence no cash, so checked sat nav, 36 miles to home the shortest route, ironically A27 duel carriage way all way home, reserve light all ready on with 46 miles to empty, got home with 6 miles on the range, and tbh I varied speed accordingly to keep it in the positive, so did not take me very long to get home and with traffic heavy in usual places on a bank holiday Friday weekend, Drove to garage later that evening so had 2 miles on the range left 18.97 Litres to fill up so had another 10 at least I think. Phew :)

I was thinking more of getting the bike resprayed and concrete boots for her, but maybe your idea would get me into less trouble :giggle:
