Never got the chance to ride in Tassie, but it's hard to concentrate on the road.

Wow. If anyone gets to ride in Tasmania I highly recommend it. It's like a mix of some of the best riding in Europe/UK found on a small(ish) island that seems to have few people and pretty much no traffic. Perfect!

Didn't have time to get that far but did the Great Lakes. Had to miss top bit of East coast too due to bush fires near St Helens

I took the bike to Tagg's this morning to get a quote for a new set of tyres and also to pick their brains about the possibility of improving the non-adjustable suspension. Came away very happy and with a very good price to get everything done and set the suspension up to suit my weight. I can't wait for the call to say the parts needed for the job have arrived! I don't usually relish spending money but this time I'm very keen to get the purse open.
I followed that with a nice ride round and then home for lunch while the bike cooled down. Then I washed and polished it and applied the first lot of ACF50, just in case anyone's thinking of getting the gritters out soon.
I'm very satisfied with my day, so far :)

Replacing the broken paving slabs and slippery grass on the slope we have to use to get our bikes in and out with a lovely, new concrete ramp. Hopefully I will never have any more slope related disasters on my bike. Well posh!

I've been to Tagg's to get my nasty old tyres and lowering spring taken off and replaced with new tyres, A CBR600RR shock and Lust lowering links. Despite really lashing rain the whole trip home the tyres never even hinted at slipping and some of the road surfaces that have been so uncomfortable and hard to ride on felt as if someone's been over them with an iron. I am very impressed so far and I'm longing for a dry day to give it a real ride on some roads I've had trouble with recently. I'm pretty sure the horrible handling is going to be a thing of the past. I wish I'd done this a long time ago. :mdance:
