Can it be from yesterday?? Cool. Finally seeing the sun in the rear view mirror, even if it was nearly set after a brilliant weekend away in Lincolnshire riding fab roads watching great racing with my buddy @Mikey. Spoilt by his mum we were. A great little first ‘tour’ and finding out just how good or bad our gear was. Some good few hundred miles done too, cant wait to go back in the summer!!

Yesterday. I used my sat-nav for the first time, with a bit of help from Phil Read (thank you). I mostly ignored it but at one point came across a massive standstill. I filtered to the front, took the only turning off a roundabout that wasn't full of parked vehicles and away I went. In the past I would have worried about being lost but I kept an eye on the sat-nav and sure enough it eventually sent me to somewhere I knew. I love my new toy! Even a good wetting on the motorway didn't spoil the relief.
Todays lesson will be turning the volume up in the hope I can hear real words, instead of just a distant whisper every now and then.
John had already fitted the mount to my bars so I only needed to get the thing wired up properly. I think he'd be pretty pleased to see I was actually trying to learn how to use it. :)

Shopping trip with Phil and Mrs Read. Buying new bike jeans, eating pancakes, ice cream and maple syrup, making my way home, via goat track, using the sat-nav and then a surprise outing with a friend from another forum for an early evening pub meal and watching the World go by down at Rye harbour. So much for the latest diet and a good thing I bought a bigger pair of jeans. :)

Nothing to do with the bike, but today I ticked another "get off your backside and follow the plan"" list. I have just collected two very young runner ducks and have them in their house, resting and getting used to their new surroundings. It's quite difficult to leave them alone. I want to pick them up and give them a bath as they are both filthy and stinky at the moment (so is my car)., but I will be patient. Won't be long before I can start training them to come when I call and then I can put them to work, slug hunting in the garden.
Bike stuff later. I'm off to Laguna's later to book the bike in to have a tracker fitted. After a sudden upturn in thefts of old Striples I feel the need for some extra security.

I had to go to Launa Triumph to learn how to adjust the Scottoiler. Phil showed me how to fill it up, but the flow rate always needs slowing down in hot weather and I got into a bit of a pickle with it. They were ever so nice. I felt a bit of an idiot, having to go and ask for help, but nobody laughed or made me feel stupid and I understand what I'm adjusting now so hopefully I'll be on top of that particular job from now on.

And yesterday I had a nice visit from a forum member (thank you, Alan) who taught me how to get the airline working properly and managed to turn the 'phone off on the sat nav for me.
Today I had to run to Tesco's for help as I managed to kill my mobile 'phone. A bearded yoof performed intricate surgery and got it working again. It was free, so I was very happy. It's a bit of a slog, learning to be an independent woman, but I'm trying new stuff every day. I can even set the clock on the cooker to the right time after a power cut. Amazing. :)
