    Hi Emma, hope you are well. I must come down and say hello and talk over old times. What is the best way to contact you. Your phone, PM on here or carrier pigeon?

    None of bikes broke down. There were 3 RD350LCs, 1 RD350YPVS that had only been built two weeks ago from spare parts, my TZR250, a TZR125, a Suzuki GT250 X7 and an RGV250SP.
    Other than our temp gauges hovering on the red (mine got on to the red!!!) the only bike in our group that overheated was a 2002 GSXR1000.

    Was a good day, nice ride back via Rye but I had to get home to pick my kids up so a rather boring plod back via the M20.

    What a great day :sun1::disco:

    I had a Kent Fire Bike escort all the way into Hastings from Locksbottom via Pembury, Lamberhurst & Robertsbridge. Then we all had preferential parking at The Stade. But as soon as we got off the bikes the marshalls passed us all bottles of much needed liquid refreshment. Shame that it wasn't a much needed cool G&T but i'll get around to having one or 2 of those later :cheers:

    To those that did go I hope that you all had a good time. To those that couldn't go, there will always be next year or the 50th. To those that are still in Hastings I hope that it was fun to stay by the coast. To those that live in Hastings, I hope that the town has had a good spectacle.

    Things sure have changed in the town since that first Mayday Run in 1979 :bike:

    PM me on here or ring me. I have recently learnt to answer the phone. Best not send a pigeon as someone might shoot it. It would be lovely to see you again. I have a token for a Jempsons cream tea if you're at a loose end sometime soon. I'm usually at home at the moment, but job hunting will have to start very soon, although I don't think finding a job will be that easy. Have to try though. I shall need some money to feed my Triumph habit eventually. xx

    unfortunately Emma i copped the lot, it started at the little island, before the golf club, and was jammed solid all the way to the center of camber, and main culprit was some dickhead wouldn't let a coach through, so all the traffic built up so quickly behind each of them, that within minuets there was a massive queue and then no one was going anywhere, took me about 45 - 50 minuets to get clear of it...... such fun.:disco:

    I could see the traffic in the distance as you were turning off, but that's normal for a hot day in Camber. I thought you'd be home well before me.

    According to John Allsopp's article in the SE Biker magazine, Hastings encountered 46,800 bikes on Mayday Monday :whistle:
