Not long got back. Good show at Clackets, somebody said around 500 bikes. Met SteveeP and a few from other forum. Rode to Cobham and met Hoppie and Steve. Then met Retryrider on the carpark. Rode back to jct6 and then me n Lee took the scenic route to Carwash diner. Arrived about 1445 and met Tony and Brett there. A good day.

Funny somehow I ended up starting from Clackets rather than Thurrock all due to a closed road just outside of Yalding with a diversion that went totally the wrong way so we headed via snodland and then took the M20 straight to the 25 and thought we may as well stop at the services. not a bad turn out although it was a little spaced out once on the road.

Came back via Boxhill and pease pottage

Sorry we arrived later than expected. Route was a bit more country and slippery than expected but still arrived at Diner in time for some nosh.

A good shot at the ring of red, something like that was never going to be perfect but sure all will say it's the fact we tried and in our own some small way showed respect.

Great to meet up with a few from the SECB crown, think my new years resolution will have to be to get East a bit more often. Cheers Alan for a bit of company on the ride back.

A few pix from today. A bit fuzzy due to the cold I think.

Looks like an excellent turnout at all of the meet points. Due to an unforeseen detour we did end up at Clacket's but didn't get a chance to find you all. A bit :brr: by the time I got home but a cracking day nonetheless.

Was a bit chilly wasn't it. Heated grips very welcome. Me n Steve were near the front at 1150 ,so didn't see you. Me n Retryrider left Cobham at about 1300ish.

I ended up riding from j5 to j9 (Leatherhead) at about 12.45pm, I thought I had missed seeing the mass ride as I passed some riders in red heading south on the A21 but passing Clackett I say lots of red riders in the car park but not one heading clockwise?? saw a few heading in the opposite direction so suprised to hear you left at 11.50 Alan....sounds like the organises might have released riders too spread out to make a visual impact. It couldnt have been a better day weatherwise though, even if a bit cold.

I think you saw people AFTER the clockwise ride Alex. It was probably over by 1245. We reached Cobham by 1230/1245, so I assume people from Thurrock reached Clackets by then.

I went on this with a couple of others, we went from Clackets to Cobham and then on to Box Hill it was an enjoyable day good to see loads of people there. My favourite bit (sad i know) was the slip road from Cobham services back on to the M25.

    Not too early a start.

"BE AT YOUR CHOSEN SERVICES FOR APPROX 1130 HRS SO YOU CAN BE THERE FOR THE RIDE BRIEFING
THE RIDE WILL START APPROX 1245 - 1320 DEPENDING ON WHICH SERVICES YOU GO TO AND HOW MANY RIDERS TURN UP ON THE DAY AT THE SERVICES - IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE....HENCE WHY WE CANNOT GIVE YOU AN EXACT RIDE START TIME!"

For those on FB more info there.
