I've not used these ones but a friend had some similar to these and they are quite good for the money and sounds good depending on your lid.

I've used the Scala Rider system for a couple of years. Works really well with a good clear signal (even at 'motorway speed'... or maybe a little bit higher ;)). Also good for bike-to-bike / pillion etc and for plugging the iPod into. Battery lasts well too - so good value all round. The only negative is the shitty 'ringtone' it plays in the headset when the phone rings - it sounds like an ice cream van.

I'd be a little cautious about the quality of those Chinese ones though. Probably better to spend a little more, source from the UK and get a decent warranty etc.

most of the chinese electronics are prettyrobust these days. bearing in mind nearly all companies now outsource pcb and component construction to china, taiwan and thailand due to the costs savings.. uk companies are taxed on every component/element they import to build electronics, whereas if you get chinese companies to make the boards companies only get taxed on the completed item.. then they just assemble the units and voila. made in the uk

Looks very much like my Cardo Scala rider unit. It screamed like a strangled cat in my ear on the way to the Alps in the rain then died before i sent it back for an exchange. The replacement works well.

But since having it the only time i can say it is of any real value is touring, otherwise ill just look at the signals and notices on the snav. And its just one more toy to have to charge 24 hours in advance.

as a lot of you know i do a lot of motoway miles and one thing i do miss is the radio, with this head set it gives me the option of talk to the missus when she comes out, (more to give her confidence then genral chit chat)

only issue ive found with most of the headset/radio kits is to keep battery usage down the volume isnt great.. so most of these kits with speakers that fit in the helmet rather than in ear can get drowned out by wind noise at high speeds, but i guess that will depend on the lid your wearing..
i have a bike to bike radio setup which i just butchered the speaker connection and wired in a 3.5mm headphone socket so i can use a set of in ear headphones.. worked a treat after that.. the radios were a lidl special around 30 quid i think ..
