Meeting at 1066 at 1000, leaving at 1100. Heading west , possibly to Bury Hill or Devils Dyke. Pace will be moderate and progressive depending if enough bodies for two groups

You do realise that it will be mayhem on Monday at the 1066 as its the Hastings May Day rally and that, apparently, is one of the main stopping places? It may take a long time to get a coffee let alone anything else :)

Was told that it's not too busy at 1000, fills up 1100 onwards. Can meet somewhere else if you can think of somewhere?

No, that's cool. Just wasn't sure if you realised :). I'll be going from Battle into Hastings in the morning, then out for a ride after. I haven't been around for the MayDay run for a few years so fancy seeing some of it

Some guys wanna watch the bikes from 1066, so thought that would be a good meeting place.

Great day today. Pat and wife didn't arrive until 1035 coz of fog in Deal and Dover, so didn't go to 1066. Rode to Flimwell lights and watched the bikes for a while and then an unusual route to Wessons via Ticehurst, Wadhurst, and Mark Cross. Onto A267 then, all the way to Horam. Very quiet at Wessons , so didn't wait long for a late breakfast. Had a good chat and then Amancalledrob phoned and said he was in Rye, on his own and was heading my way. Met Rob and his mate Nick for coffee and checking out Nick's knackered chain and sprockets. Did the B road from Heathfield to Battle, then Rye carpark, still packed. Had a coffee then did Camber road, Ivychurch road and eventually Canal road. Bad accident with a ZX10, I think, and a car, but ambulance arrived as we left. Car driver's wife needed a slap! Back to my place for lemonade on the patio and will hopefully see Nick at mine next weekend with a new C&S kit to be fitted. PHEW!!!

Was a very good day apart from that accident, also Mrs 4x4 pulling out in front of me as I was overtaking her... anchors on, teeth marks in the seat but all ok in the end
