Does anyone know how strict France and Spain are about loud exhausts?
I'm considering a V twin and the Bassani turnout exhaust that's on it are loud, even with the baffles welded in. I'm struggling to find too much information on it online. All I seem to find is how strict Switzerland are which isn't very helpful. Any input would be appreciated :)

i did a trip on the R6 a few years ago and that's not quiet, had no trouble at all. Lammy's R6 isn't too quiet on full charge either.
I know on a few french frenzies we used to do most bikes had aftermarket pipes.

Not been an issue in my experience. Especially when you consider the noise of the scooters they all blat around on in the towns and villages and the number of Harley riders too.
