Hi Folks.....if you don't want to be caught out with a puncture wondering how to get home....unless you carry a repair kit (thats only a temp fix) get yourself some 'Ultraseal'.'Ultraseal Puncture safe'....its great stuff put it in and forget..around £10-14 for 2 wheels 180/55/17 & 120/70/17....check it out on ebay and you wont regret it..been in all my bikes and it seals once the nail etc has been removed and carry on as normal! It IS that good.....go see for yourself....

    IMHO
    1) All very well until you go for new tyre and the fitter refuses to do it until you have cleaned the inside of the rims.
    2) If I have a nail/screw/ cut in my tyre I want to know about it

I suspect its also not suitable for tyres fitted with pressure monitors either.

I had pressure valve caps on but snapped valve off leading to rapid pressure lose. Scarry. New tyre required. Tyre fitter said not to use pressure caps again as centrifugal force causes this. So no fancy caps for me now. Also he said dont put liquids in tyres.

I had new tyres fitted on the car..
Got a puncture 7 days later and only had the gunk stuff provided, no spare.. Filled it with this stuff.. It got me the 60 miles home then onto the garage next morning..
'We cannot repair that'.. New tyre then.. Bloody glad it's down to the lease company to pay, then had to purchase more gunk.. £40 refill!..

This ultraseal will just wipe off with a cloth or wash off with water come a tyre change as there is not that much floating about in the rim / tyre...didn't bugger up a pressure monitor system on a mates BMW bike...personally i can't fault it having used it for many years now but like everything it's your own personal choice..thought i would just share it amongst you....apart from the cost of the product there's nowt to lose and a lot to save in time, money and hassle....and the stuff you get with a new car now, is Nothing like ultraseal..that's a totally different kind of tyre repair and only a temp fix....however it's down to your own preference.....
