Monthly Meet April 5th

who's coming ?
and where are we meeting?
are we sticking to Hawkhurst Oak and Ivy now for security and tiger Prawn reasons or venturing else where ?

It's birthday of SWMBO, so sneaking out for monthly dose of Tiger Prawns and friendly intercourse may be difficult. But I'll try

 

For her birthday you could take her out to dinner at the Oak and Ivy (just saying)

 

Enough of your private life Richard. I'm sure you can cut the rough intercourse out as a bithday treat

My feeble attempts to persuade her of the merits of a pub not quite in a village and miles away from T Wells have failed miserably. My last throw of the dice was to say how good are the Tiger Prawns. I then foolishly ended by saying, "Trust me".

Big mistake. Hey ho... I am polishing up the Barclaycard as I write, hoping there is enough monetary space on it for an appropriately celebratory dinner. [Gulp}... My only hope is that, as a yoga teacher, she usually subsists on twigs and leaves. It's just that some restaurants serve them, artfully arranged on different plates with subdued lighting and threatened by a couple of parsley leaves and then charge £30 per plate. Plus some wine... I have to raid the 'fridge when I get home just to obtain adequate nutrition for the evening.

This all counts as a Major Fail, I'm afraid. No Tiger Prawns; no Harveys beer, no jovial banter with like-minded people ending with the aural stimulation of revving bike engines.

Have a brilliant evening everyone. Perhaps I'll have a double order of the prawns next month to console myself.

well we will certainly miss your entertaining post of the evenings event but , and i'll say from us all ... we wish SWMBO a very and hope you enjoy the rest if your evening !
oh and more tiger prawns for us ! ( didn't mean to write that bit down, it just came out )
