I noticed the gap between Tyre and mudguard is really small, as I guess it is on most bikes now days.

I have heard a couple of times while out not going that fast what I thought was like a rubbing noise, for a fraction of a second, like something scrapped around wheel etc. I have looked for anything loose etc. but would I be right in thinking it is something picked up on the Tyre and rubbed around the mud gaurd on the inside quick, is this something that others hear or notice?

Sounds about right, if there is nothing visible now. Could be a stone/stick/- squirrel or rabbit got in there ;) . Was it after you took the pic of the wind farm as it was quite rough terrain? My honda front m/guard is 2cm from tyre. :)

How you finding it performance wise (still running in i know) + handling?

Ahh cheers, naa was not after wind farm, was going along a road I have checked for anything loose. The gap on mine is actually only 15mm.
Yeah Still running in, and a long way to go, 300 miles before you are suppose to max at 6k revs, though oddly enough the manual says a little different. It is quite annoying tbh only 5k revs, 60 MPH. It handles way better than I expect to ever push it, has more torque at the bottom end even in 6th. than I was expecting, I would say though it is dam fast though in acceleration, tbh it is even just running it in.
I find it quite scary to think 1st gear covers such a large range, I guess a lot of people use 2nd, and clutch unless it is a standstill.
My only comment so far, I am sure it has more than enough power to have a more of a cruising gear, It revs to nr 14k, I can imagine it would become a little annoying on a high speed cruise. No vibration so far a smooth ride at 6k, not really been over 6k yet :(
Still tbh it is doing me good running in, not rode a bike for a long time, Quite a hike from not riding for years, and jumping on that straight away. My FZX was fast, but I would think this is a fair bit faster, as I said to you, I is as rusty as hell.
