I have just gone with Devits (I think it was) at the end of the day they will all be as frustrating as each other in the event of a claim!

I'm going through a claim with bennets now and I can safely say I WON'T BE renewing my insurance with them.

Bennetts have just been brought out so things are changing there.

MCE is the main one to avoid.

I am with motorcycle direct with chauncer as the under writters on the current claim and I was paid out in three weeks  at the value I had insured the bike for. Which after reading their reviews I thought I was screwed but I have been impressed. Lammy was with Hastings direct and they sorted that out in under a month too

I think they have all gone down the route of trying everything not to pay if they think they can wiggle out so but still hear good thing about Carol nash.

I recently had to make a claim for myself and another party with Hastings Direct. All sorted within a month - happy with the service so far.

Sorry to hear you are having problems. Especially as it seems pretty cut and dry! Hope you and Gemma are both ok now though.

Another thumbs down for Bennets from me. Very little help with my claim. Never get the same answer twice and got transferred from one department to another, ending up back where I started. Twice. I paid for all the extras, clothing, helmet cover etc. and they can't make any sense out of that either. After 3 days of being messed about I handed it over to a specialist company who deal with bike claims. It's a long process due to the other party fighting back (despite my 3 good witnesses) which Bennetts were going to lie down and roll over for. My new solicitor is determined to get the right result so I hope he's successful. At least he answers all emails and 'phone calls promptly and calls back when he says he will.

Next time I'm going for the cheapest insurance I can find. Buying all the extras was a waste of time.

I get the same treatment, passed from one department to another and getting no where.

I should've gone to a specialist straightaway but it's probably too far down the line now.

I went with bennets as they were he cheapest ! Now I'll get some quote and ask hastings direct to match it as they've never mucked me about.

Yes me and Gemma are both ok and it is (in my opinion) a straight forward case but the 3rd party are disputing liability.

I've got two witnesses so I don't know what they think they're going to achieve. I'll happily go to court and explain how his wreckless driving could have killed me and my girlfriend.

Blimey few claims going through. Hope you all get your results and are well. Hmm Hastings direct wanted mega money. Looks like Carole Nash then. Thank-you for your advise so far

You can change at any time. I am using Andrew Campbell Bikelawyer. He advertises in MCN and he was recommended to me by several MCN forum members who have found him very helpful in the past.
It won't cost you much to ring or email and ask how to go about changing. I'd put a link in for you but I'm not that clever with computers. Good luck.

Should have remembered to add that they are dealing with the injury/damage side of things. Bennetts are still making a balls up over the bike damage.

Just go with the cheapest....All insurance co's take your money but bitch and moan and become really unhelpful when it's time to make a claim :-(

    I hate insurance companies

As it's been quite a few years since i've had to make a claim I can't recommend any one company. But it's the 'free' extras like free breakdown cover that appealed to me when choosing CN for my supermotard
