Please be aware of quite a severe amount of surface damage to the middle of the centre lane. The post that i've seen on another forum suggests that it's about 2 inches deep & 3 inches wide in places & almost impossible to see in the dark or when it's raining hard.

It's been reported to Kent county council & to Highways England who are responsible for main roads like this section of the A20.

I drive that every day on the way home from work; it's not that bad.

Until you hit the rut in the wet, at night & on your motorbike. In a car it wouldn't bother me either, unless a friend was the one who became seriously injured or dead

Bear in mind there was a copper with laser on that 50mph stretch going south the other day!

The stretch you are talking about, Crittals to the M25, is a 70mph limit. I ride it most days in the dark etc. It's not as bad as you describe. If the guy on the other forum thinks it's 2" deep by 3" wide I would suggest he gets his eyes tested or stops riding down there.

Probably as you come on from Crittals it is 70mph - just prior it is 50mph as you join from Queen Mary's Hospital.

It is a 50 towards the hospital. But the OP was talking about the bit from Crittals Corner to the M25...

Better that Highways England have been notified, otherwise the rut will only get worse as the Winter weather sets in & would make it worse.

Yeah every road will turn to crap again as all the previous bodge jobs fall apart as soon as it turns cold.

The road was repaired at some time before Wednesday evening when I went along that way.
Made a pretty good job of it as well.

Well done Highways England for responding so quickly
