    i realise if it was cut off it would be useless to anyone else , however i'd be pretty miffed if i couldn't ride home as no helmet

    True but you know this is from the TT rather than local?

    But it wasn't long ago you could leave your lid on the bike and never worry about it.

    They do not cut the helmet, they cut the cable it is secured with, and probably steal clothing as well as people leave their jackets etc. Gangs who have gone over there to get a quick killing and easy targets.

    A friend of mine had his Arai helmet stolen from the April round of the BSB at Brands Hatch!!! They bent the latch and slid it off, he had to go and buy another one to get home!

    Bikes are stolen form there as well every meeting.
