I am two years into an insurance claim. It has never occurred to me to ask my solicitor about what the claim might be worth. I have been able to replace my bike with one of equal value as that part of the claim was quickly dealt with. I know I'll get the cost of replacing my clothing and helmet, plus the cost of all the hospital/physio/other ongoing treatment visits and my employer was able to claim the wages I was paid while off work. It's quite interesting to see how these things are worked out although I'm just grateful things weren't any worse.
Being back the way I was before the accident won't happen but I won't be far off. I don't think I shall ask what it's all worth though. Getting everything over and done with will be very nice but I shan't hold my breath. Two years has seemed like a long time but I can see from reading this article that it could be an even longer wait.
