Ok, as you know I have a new bike and would like to keep it looking like new...any advice welcome, was wondering about "protection film" but can't find it precut for the Striple...also intend to give it a good wax, any recommendations on what wax to use?

Paintwork: Wax: Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0
    Ferrous metal work: AC 50
    Frame/wheels/etc: GT85

Also a quick wipe of rainX over the paintwork takes the work out of post wet ride cleaning ;)

A radiator guard will go a long way to helping preserve the new look also. Along with some autosol polish for the exhaust.

I think I've got a Triumph protection kit laying about somewhere, courtesy of Old Man but my bike will need more than some paint protection to keep it neat. ;)

This chap just wrapped my K1600 GTL with 3M Venture shield using pre-cut bits. He came to my house to do it. I don't know if he has the patterns for your bike but it would be worth giving him a ring. He made a very good job of my bike. My local BMW dealer uses him too.

So does he wrap literally the entire bike, or just the "vulnerable" parts?

Paintwork: Wax: Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0 Will get some.
Ferrous metal work: AC 50 Got some in the garage.
Frame/wheels/etc: GT85 Not heard of but will get some.

Also a quick wipe of rainX over the paintwork takes the work out of post wet ride cleaning ;)

A radiator guard Can you recommend one that doesn't cost £50+? will go a long way to helping preserve the new look also. Along with some autosol polish Got some for the exhaust.

I think I've got a Triumph protection kit laying about somewhere, courtesy of Old Man but my bike will need more than some paint protection to keep it neat. Would be great if you did have one laying about I could have.

Strange,it works for me. In an case, the URL is http://www.jjsigns.webs.com/

The whole bike was not wrapped in my case but all the vulnerable parts were covered. There is a bike in Vines at Caterham that was completely wrapped - a GSA 1200 in a sort of camouflage wrap - looked awful to me but there's no accounting for taste.

Can't be arsed myself. Just gets washed with car soap & then WD40 all over when dry...but then it's not Jap.

Scotoiler FS365. Spray it on after washing the bike and it neutralises salt and corrosives even in summer. Because it is spray it gets in all the places you can't clean properly and protects nuts, bolts, hose clips, shiney bits etc. Is supposed to gradually build up a coating. Also puts a decent shine on the engine.

Use every week in winter. Sportsbikeshop.co.uk do 5 litre containers.

I would be looking at some of the newer nano-tech paint sealants, as these actually provide a hard protective shell so will reduce stone chips and scratches.
    CQuartz
    Gtechniq

Failing that I have plenty of waxes in the garage if you wanted to try some. :)

Did you use that on the beamer, because evidence would suggest they don't work ;)
