What a brilliant day! I rode out to H cafe in Oxford, then on to Henley for an ice-cream with a couple of other girls. Very nice, chilled out ride, not too crazy. Did have a bit of a heart-in-my-mouth moment on one particular set of twisties, (just started into them a bit too hot, I think) but goddam it was great.

Saw loads of red kites, horses, cows, blue skies, and some of the most beautiful countryside. I didn't even feel too hot until the last mile to home - just no air and no real speed.

Still, hope everyone else had a brilliant day too. :D

I just renewed the insurance on our little Hartford 'Morningstar' 125 - I thought a total of £80 pa fully comprehensive for me and my wife was quite good; I was less pleased to discover that I actually paid £80 + £30 for a legal cover addition, some £20 'policy tax' and some other bits and pieces totalling £135. Hmmn... But then a bundle of paperwork arrived through my letter box this morning.

This is where the enjoyment started!
    1) I enjoyed the wrestling match with the dog (who clearly thought this bundle was attacking our house and needed to be thoroughly ripped, shredded and torn apart. I won! :disco:

    2) The contents of the package was still legible!

    3) Apparently I am entitled to £30 'cash back' provided the policy remains in force for 90 days after its commencement.

I can't yet see the catch. If you are getting insurance quotes, include Swinton on your calling list.

£30? I`m sure I was entitled to £80 back on mine, although it was noticeably more than £80

Phone call from DVLA saying they have now received my incorrect licence back from me (I sent it two weeks ago), and will send another attempt at getting it right in two weeks time. "It is OK to continue riding, you just won't have a licence". I've only been trying to get my licence updated since the beginning of June so no change there. I would hate to rush these things.

Got my camera lens back from it's warranty repair, swept the chiminey, re-enacted the chainsaw massacre in the garden, and have lit a fire ready for a cosy evening. :hug4:
