Its impressive looking for what it is, not my preferred choice but id like to ride it to see how it performs. 50 bhp is tiny but it should have good torque as its diesel. Nearly 16k is tooooooo expensive IMO...

Diesel engines have to made with steel because of the pressures they have to deal with, sod having to pick that bike up if you dropped it. Plus the noise it makes is awful.

However, there's certainly a market for diesel bikes so let's see how it gets on.

Interesting stuff though all the same. It's always nice to see something new, so I'd be interested in riding it. That last vid from You Tube seems a little better.

I've got to say that I'm disturbingly interested in a diesel motorbike. Does this mean that I'm now officially old??

Looks like one of those at the NEC. I'm also slightly interested (but as I'm old, don't have to ask). If they could lighten/compact it, which I'm sure they eventually will, I'd like a go too. Just have to adapt to a new riding style.

Yes, it does look a bit 'long' doesn't it? Maybe that's something to do with the shaft drive?

I like the idea of CVT as it makes the most of the low BHP by always giving peak torque. God, what am I saying??? CVT, diesel?? I'm off to check for grey hairs.

At .36 - .40 as the bike passes in the video, it sounds like they have overdubbed the exhaust note of an F1 car on the audio track to make the noise more appealing... Well they have to do something to hide the steel bucket of bolts being shaken sound.

Never knew such things existed. Puts new light on the shouting down I got elsewhere for suggesting a solution to a diesel engige assuming it was a truck he was talking about. But what would I know, I'm just a dumb girl.

Maybe people should check out the Harley Dieseldon.
There is a pretty big thing going on with diesel builds, but didn't realise there was one coming into mainstream

Twas 2 at the NEC show. Basically BMW traille frame with Merc engines also used on the diesel Smart Car. Tractor type torque, geared for 110, and 90+ per gallon.

I think for people who want to do serious adventure touring, these would be fantastic.

I have no sound here at work so can`t comment on its sounds but has anyone driven or been passed by a car using a CVT gearbox? They sound like the driver is riding the clutch & having to thrash it senseless. I just hope thats been sorted.
