A good week. Bought a three bike trailer, stripped and greased the hubs and bearings, and cleaned all the light connectors. Went to Maidstone to buy some bits for the welder and had a blat on the way back with two contables of the law who were out for a play. Made stacks of soup, cottage pie, lasagne, bolognaise, chilli, beef stew etc. All in the freezer so I'm excused from cooking for a month. Went to Wessons for a coffee this afternoon. :) Just need decent weather next Saturday for the trackday.

Adjusted the levels on the audio and would the amp up a little, still about 24hours of running in to go but allowed 40% at least. Won't be sitting in the car with it higher than about 30% I think...

Phone was a short distance away but still distorted, that's a good sign right?

Not in the least, but once I've got the 1600 lump in there I want to be able to thoroughly embarrass chavs before I leave them for dust :D

Heard today that my parking ticket ("invoice") issued by a private parking company has been cancelled. Had to fight for it though including providing land registry plans that proved the land was owned by KCC and not by a block of flats. They ignored all my appeals until I still refused to pay, by which time the fine had gone up to £150, when they threatened me with court action. They couldn't risk taking me to court and losing so decided to investigate my claim and found I was in the right!!!

    the magical 400 :D

while trying to get it running this evening it preformed a totally magical feat ok it didn't start but then more impressively it didn't stop either :D.

trying to fire on the starter motor for a while and knowing it wasn't about to fire i removed my finger from the start switch. it carried on trying to start so i hit the kill switch and still the bike was trying to start. ok no problem so i turned the key off yet still the little 400 was so determind to start that it carried on trying. even with the key fully removed it wasn't taking no for an answer and carried on. :hah:

Stubborn is the way forwards, I'm not going to ruin your mood by telling you the massive amount of work that one possibility of the cause would entail. :cautious:

The 'busa has been cleaned and polished to within an inch of its life and is now ready for its new owner (thanks to a good friend). Didn't realise how much crap was on it as I've never been able to get the bloody thing on its paddock stand to clean it properly! It's given me a lot of incentive to make sure the BB doesn't get like that.

Now to sort the paperwork and it's ready to go. :bye:
