Military, RN Diver 1. Although it's been a few years and I'd be needing hand flippers now.

Ive done swimming pools doing basic taster days... Lovely selection of plasters, toe nails and body hair to see floating about.. Certainly want to do more but skint at present...

 

Oh yuck! I've not long had my brekkie!

 

What a good job i didnt mention seeing ''the most unwelcome of all'' items in the pool. Im not joking

Sounds an amazing trip, i'd be dead keen for it but as its about 20% of my annual income I suspect its a tad unlikely I'll be able to go, unless of course I get that rebate from 'the man' I tried squeezing a stone the other day for comparison but nothing came out.

 

Not a poo surely.......

 

I should think all the chaps on here have muffed dived on some occasion.........
Much more fun and don't get quite as wet, although saying that......

 

I took a group of naughty teenagers to Eastbourne pool for a diving taster. I went to check on those just swimming in the main pool, as i walked round and looked into the deep end i could make out a ''shape'' on the bottom surrounded by a sort of ''smokey looking beige halo''. I had a pretty good idea what it might be . One of the lads swam over to me. He didn't have goggles on so vision would have been the usual underwater blur . I asked him to dive down and check out the ''object'' lying on the bottom..
He came up like a shot ... Ive never seen anyone jump out of a pool so quick and you know what kids are like.. At the top of his voice he shouted out to the others what he had found . The whole pool emptied... The expression on the lifeguards face was priceless too. He really didn't want to have to deal with it.. And no it wasn't mine...
