    Oops Sorry Dave, thanks for the coffee and chat and loo and water ???
    Gonna be a long , slow rebuild and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need plenty of help, especially with paintwork. That car/boat paint Dave? Was thinkin of brush painting the frame on top of the grey primer. Whadya reckon?

    Well cylinders been soaked in WD40 for 3 days, so took ignition /alternator cover off today and very slowly turned crankshaft. No scraping grinding noises and nice n free moving. No wiring loom , so attached car battery to starter and spun it over. sounds good without plugs in. Next job is replace battery box with reg/rec, starter solenoid and coils attached and try to start the beast!!!
    Some pix;
    Engine with all 4 plugs removed.

    Spinning motor with plugs out and car batter direct to starter motor.

    Just hoping the engine was OK when taken off road. If it starts and runs Ok , I will progress the restoration. Main problem then is front discs are knackered and rear shock bushes are shredded!!!
