Which bend (on public roads) is your favourite?

Richard - if you're coming in from TW, go through Maidstone and pick up the A20 towards Lenham. When you get to Charing, go left at the roundabout and head up the hill (dir Challock / Canterbury). There's a lovely right hand bend at the top by the caravan sales centre. Continue on the straight (but undulating) road through the woods, down into Challock. Straight over the roundabout by the car sales / Halfway pub... and then open the taps. There is a succession of bends and as you get further into the flow, the road width opens up. The first sweeping right at the bottom of the hill tends to have a bit of camber run-off, so stay near to the centre where possible. Enjoy!

Don't laugh - I do that a lot! A real fan of pace notes - mainly because I'm such an anorak.

i have 2 - but each involve a few bends

1st A20 - you must come of at junction 11 and head to folkestone on A20 - very cice bends and a Up hill Jump its like a race track and now there have helped make faster by cutting back trees for more visabilty

2 is the few bends between brenzet & Rye

 

Oops - sorry, Kev. Honestly, I have no clue where we went that day. I guess I was concentrating so hard on trying to hear that crackly voice in my ear that I didn't notice where I was going.

Was it where we saw the group of bikes pulled over for intercourse with the passing Police person who through they might feel dispirited and in need of cheering up?

 

That's it... that's the edge of Chilham, just where the A28 diverges from the A252.

I picked up an interesting tip the other day for reducing wind noise in the mike, involving chopping the finger off a glove and fixing the leather over the pickup. Now, all I need is a rider with nine fingers to donate one!
