Meeting my friend on his 400 Suzuki... something its a supermoto at the service station before the marsh road then riding to rye via Broad oak...

Then stop of at rye see whats about have a look around then the bit were we'll probably get lost as its a pretty new route to me only done it once with megawatt and thats

head along the A259 then straight at the round about towards the bridge (A268)
Just after the bridge turn off onto Military road otherwise known as canal road
    then onto the B2080
    then back onto the A259
Then turning right onto the ronmey road B2075
    Onto Jurys Gap rd
    Then onto Lydd Road
    The good ol camber road
and then back to rye and to then head towards Hastings!

Does anyone know a good cafe on this route? or a cafe for that doesn't have to be good im not fussy :p

But if this route goes to plan it should be a pretty nice ride if the weather holds out and anyones welcome to tag along (this isnt me planning a ride or anything like that for the forum if someone would like to take it over and do that they're welcome to take that challenge and use the route or whatever :p )

If anyone has suggestions on how to improve it that would be cool to hear main thing is the cafe though

Well depending on how today goes I may ride over to the Blueboys for about 9 have little bite to eat then ride back. Not planning to be out long but my daughter is trying to convince me to take her on the back - taking a pillion is not something I like doing - so will have to wait and see.

What is like taking pillion? been thinking about giving it a go im sure i'll be alright just got to add to insurance does it generally make it more exspensive

To be honest I have never checked my insurance to see if it states anything about taking a pillion! I dont like it because its something else that you have to be aware of and it changes the whole riding/bike dynamic!

Ohh i thought that you had to have pillion cover as well on your insurance lol, yeah i guess, would be worse if the person didnt lean with the bike or anything like that, might have to try it sometime

Hmmm...I may have to check this out because looking at the exclusions section the only thing it says about passengers is: "Use for the carriage of passengers for hire and reward" which I take it to mean paying passengers. This is highlighted on my certificate but I dont have the full accompanying booklet!

Jack_BM if you've never riden with a pillion, try riding with an experienced biker on the back first. As Fergy says, it changes just about everything with the way the bike handles and really can take you by surprise if you're not totally prepared... and it can all go horribly wrong very quickly. In all honesty, it's best avoided (unless your intended passenger is young, pretty and easily impressed ;)).
