The better mods I did to this 990 was a PC3 & a larger bore clutch slave which took some of the strain outta the heavy clutch movement. There's plenty on the Superduke forum re performance work but I reckon losing several pounds body weight would be as useful.

You know me - I do like to have a fiddle ;). I've scoured the forums and have deduced that O2 eliminator, gear sensor mod & SAS removal all add significantly to power and 'rideability'. I've ordered RC8 air intake trumpets too as this is supposed to make a small difference. All-in-all, the bike is certainly faster than when you had a go on it Les. It's also fun to know that it'll do similar speeds off tarmac too - truly 'go anywhere'! Took it for a quick spin yesterday and the performance is now bloody 'surprising'.

I couldn't warrant getting a PC3 for it, especially since that money will be better spent on the suspension upgrades that I'm considering... plus tyres (and maybe a second set of wheels)... and luggage... and clothing. Right now, I'm more than happy with what's been achieved :) .

Latest update is that I've fitted the modified RC8 intake trumpets & oval butterfly valves. I've still to fit the SAS eliminators and uprated rear spring... sometime.

Does the bike actually show any resemblance to its origins at all now? ;)

Well, it looks the same (pretty much).

The bike had another clean today... and then I fitted the new high level front mudguard. Fork shrouds to be fitted some other time...

Looking good mate & about ready for some proper (17") wheels/road rubber next?

No, it'll go the opposite way and have knobblier tyres soon! The bike's too big to stick tiddly 17" wheels on it!

Looking very clean...never seen such a shine on tyre rubber (or any other rubber for that matter!)

Ah, well... I am bit particular about cleaning (and have been known to remove all of the panels, just so that I can clean all of the bits you can't normally see).
