Today i returned the ill fitting carbon clutch cover.. I sent them a pic and they agreed how poorly it fitted. Didnt offer me a replacement that fitted properly so i can only conclude all the covers they manufacture are a shody fit.

BS-Motoparts -51702 Berneustadt Germany  - Crappy workmanship but will refund, (hopefully)

That the one on your bike yesterday? If so I did look quickly & didn't look too bad to me. There again, my taste/attention to detail is almost non-existent, so I'm told...daily.

Yes it was Les... I'm a real form over function (generally) and as it had a 5mm gap around one side of the oil cap, looked a bit 'shite' under real close inspection, shame coz i did like the overall effect. Hopefully ill get my £102 back with no bother..we shall see...

Reminds me of when I took a cat 50 miles in a tank bag:rolleyes: . Actually it was 10 miles in a rucksack before it found it's way out while on the M25:eek: , so needed to continue in the tankbag.

Thanks Tony: certainly Hanna and I appreciate your quest for lexicographic correctness! Anybody who didn't know Tom might think he believed the terms are interchangeable: you might 'bring' something out of a shop; it might not necessarily involve a monetary exchange as well!

This week I've treated my bike to a set of OEM KTM LED auxiliary lights (OMG), a set of OTR 5.9 fork springs (plus poly spacers to increase compression) and a smoked rear light from the 2012 version.

Oh and I've almost finished refitting the kitchen (henced one of the old units being in my usually-very-tidy garage).

Tut tut, standards have slipped. No carpet, litter on the floor & those clean overalls on the shelf aren't stacked well enough. Auxiliary lights were really from the old kitchen units?

Yep, the battle between standards vs time really was a tough one. As of yesterday morning, the garage is now thoroughly purged to bring is back to its normal state and I've laid some old lino' down to finish the job. Unfortunately no, aux lights weren't from the kitchen (not at that price anyway!), although funnily enough I have installed some nice new under-unit jobbies either side of the hob. God, I'm sooo badass these days :(.

After finishing the kitchen and redesigning the living room, my next project will be to fit plasterboard to the ceiling in the garage... and fit some decent flooring... and maybe some new lights... and a heater... and a good sound system...
