Careful, Ducky: there are some things ladies prefer should remain a mystery. If you find out one of these facts, you will no longer be able to father children ... Or worse

I complained to them about the mount design, caused me to lose a Contour down the road too (hence I had to buy a replacement). The only bonus is, if you complain they will offer you one at about half price.

Thanks Chris. Out of interest did you take up their offer?
Not sure if i want to spend any more on this stuff, had nothing but 75% trouble with the crap. On my 3rd tomtom docking shoe, 3rd snav, 2nd power cable and 2nd contour battery which was also fucked and about to be returned but is in the camera........... somwhere in kent or sussex..........oh yes and 2nd scala rider bluetooth unit... Ive not had 1 peice that i havnt returned  But i cant help myself when it comes to gadgets, bleeps and flashing lights.

I'm now think ill look into a normal HD cam (much cheaper and i have the ram mounts for the bike). Or i may well just do away with all my techno worldly posesisons, go back to living of the land, buy a goat grow potatoes and become an Amish .... fekin gadjets..:fume::love::fume::love:

I did, but mostly because I have a lot of bits that would be redundant without it, annoyingly I wanted to upgrade to the ContourGPS but they wouldn't let me as it wasn't released at that point (I wasn't allowed to wait). Also they've now added a remote mic, which I did on my first one....was only a matter of time before they implemented the idea (lots of ppl were asking for it).

Have thought about selling mine and getting something else..but for the amount I use it tis not really worth it. :(

Ive sent them ( i already had a personal name and address in a folder re a previous return) ''a strongly worded letter''. . . Actually it was a shitty - but factual critical account of my experience of their product... that'l learn em.... (:

BT or as it should be known indian telecom. Bunch or f##king muppets made me waste nearly a whole day of what should have been a full day on the bike :mad::mad:

i was told someone would be around this morning to repair a faultly phone line, it's not worked for 2 years but i couldn't get on the net until it was fixed this time, so with a window of some time between 8 and 1 i have to wait in. i take the dog out before 7 for a run so that i don't miss them and then start to wait. At 1 o'clock i finall decide to phone India to see if they can answer why no one has been, An hour and a half later i get told they just forgot to book an engineer :mad::mad: The tw4t on the phone tells me he has now booked someone to come out this afternoon, so i politely inform him thats no good ( and yes i was polite ) to witch he tells me i HAVE to wait. WTF so i was less polite yet he didn't seam to gasp the fact i had wasted a day and wasn't going to waste the rest. it's then sometime around 3 pm and i've not eatten and the dog needs to go out so off i set for lunch and to walk the dog. some 30 mins later and still 20 mins from home i get a call asking why i'm not at home. This guy was told ( far from politely ) that he really needs not to be there by the time i get back or i will take out my anger on him. needless to say i'm no longer a BT customer :D

But i did get out for a blast this afternoon after all that :D

Morning oh wise and great fellow bikers, a question has bothered me over the last few days, on my beloved CBR lots of head nodding acknowledging my passage in the opposite direction happy in the friendly world of biking, used wifes CG125 a couple of times and I appeared to be persona non grata suddenly. I assume the majority of current riders had to start on a 125, I am however old and grumpy enough to have been a 250 learner so why do 125 without L plates get ignored?
Having said that sunny day think I need to check the CBR is ok back in a while

:giggle: You can certainlly open up a 'canaworms' with a good nodding debate... Ill nod to anything, then i wont, then i might or ill wait to see if they nod first, then reciprocate, or not, depending on...
What they are riding, size, l-plates, trike (trikes= :hgiggle:) scooter, relic.
What they are wearing, power ranger - flurostar - shorts/t-shirt - full village people, urbangorrila.

All this important decision making gets done in a split second and depends on my own, mood, speed, current attitude, blah blah.... and its not consistent from day to day... So to be accurate, generally its hard to tell ;)... But i do find some cruisers, especially HD officionados a fekin snobbish bunch of boring, aging twats. No offence. :D

One thing for sure, in many people's minds, including my own - on a random basis, there is an amusing hierarchy....

Yes after all having been on 2 wheels for 31 years, god am I that old, I remember the Vespa Lambretta clan were avoided as they usually ignored us butmost 2 wheelers nodded excepte for the ones with big shiney cruisers as they were more worried about a drop of precipitation touching the bike as it would need 3 days cleaning after a 30 minute ride

I'll nod to any bike, so longer as the biker is it bike gear, not shorts and t-shirt or work suit.

Having gone over all the indicators last weekend and soldered at dodgy looking connections I thought we'd fixed the problem. Nope, as soon as I left home they went funny - after inspection it's the front right which I know we checked so not sure what's happened there. Did notice the resister had marked the wire cabling so wonder if that's the problem.

Spent two hours cleaning the bike do less inclined to go taking panels off to go and investigate right now. Later...

I`m pretty much the same as Hanna, Bike gear gets nod irrespective of bike size/style. Cruisers usually get a nod/wave or, if a proper custom i.e. bobber will get a thumbs up.

me to will nod at most, apart from these people who do have the proper gear on, shorts and T shirts is a no no in my eyes.
it makes me cringe to think what would happen if they came off.

I agree in one of my lines of work we often have to treat idiots from what would otherwise be a slight bruising and stiffness instead becomes grafting, anyhow I thought it gave us a chance to dress in leather without being thought of as strange or odd, which of course we are not, well maybe not all of us
