ITV local News Biker banned

Just heard it on the news biker banned 6 months and £600 fine for 160 MPH, on the A21 I think was videoed not sure if by a following Police, 120 in a 50, and doing wheelies

The clip I saw, there was nobody else on the dual carriageway except him and a GSXR750 camera bike, and the usual tossers were saying how dangerous it was FFS

 

Was the camera bike police? or they found the video clip? Just read a Sun clip says 3 month ban, and £500-00 fine + costs

 

Yeah a police camera bike. They usually follow for about 20miles, just to make sure you incriminate yerself

 

Hmm, I wonder what would happen if after the 3 minutes of so they filmed him he had an accident at high speed if they are liable for not stopping him a lot sooner.

At least they let him off lightly - probably because his employment depends on his licence. 120 in a 30 is absolutely taking the piss though, there's no other way to describe it. Shouldn't have got caught anyway, I assume any unfamiliar bike that appears behind me has a police officer on it - easily avoided if you have even rudimentary observation skills

 

However, with my nursing hat on (well and common sense hat), doing 160mph in a 50 zone is not right and just really fooking stupid. You'd have to question if they have anything up top!!

If someone was caught here in Aussie doing that speed it would be permanent loss of license. Hubby got done doing 100km (i.e. 60-70mph) in a 50km (i.e. 30mph) zone. He had instant loss of license for 12 months!!!

Some people are just cocks and wreck it for other bikers.

He was in all said and done bloody lucky with just 6 months ban and the 600 notes fine, thought it was a year ban just for no insurance......!! used to be!

Oh doubt they would be liable.....can imagine it would be film used as evidence against him. If they had chased to catch, they could have been up for causing the accident, hence these days they are discouraged to chase, rather they are to "follow"
