I have listened to music whilst on long, dull sections through the middle of Spain. Kept me awake and made the journey more bearable!

But you're a woman who can therefore multitask. Those of us with XY chromosomes can either ride or listen to music. Or think. Or talk. Any one in any order. But (speaking for myself) I can have a radio on or have a passenger talking to me and neither penetrates the castle of concentration required to drive (or ride). A side issue, but it's pointless for me to have a 'hands free' setup in the car. I'd make no sense if. I talked to anyone while going along!

i have music through bluetooth in my helmet and i have used earphones…though i don't have it loud as I want to hear the engine revs and potentially whats around me…whether it be tooting cars/bikes or screeches of tyres, possibly spelling of an impeding incident...

i have tired riding with music but the problem occurs when i get into the flow of the music. A nice slow song and i day dream while pottering slowly but something faster and i twist the throttle back a little more than i should :D

I wear headphones instead of ear plugs but they are not connected to anything as I can`t ride with music on. I`ve tried a couple of times but I find it too distracting.

I ride full time with either earplugs(Howard Lite) or music/ radio via an MP3 player, personally I never found it distracting. Sounds such as car horns/sirens etc are at such a frequency that you can still hear them. Its legal in the UK but, I think. in France you cant wear any earbud type speakers. including Satnav ones.

I have Bluetooth with speakers in lid, use it for satnav and music and love it. Especially when touring long trips etc. I don't use it for phone although I could, but I don't want to be bored by people interrupting my time. Cant see any reason why it would cause problems I can still hear whats happening around me and if anything it puts me in the zone when I ride at my best.

I wear earplugs all of the time, except abroad if I have to navigate a city.
Then I use noise cancelling earbuds bluetoothed to the Tom tom.

coms is good as long as the ear speakers have been set correctly in the lid, in fact when we first had them, as we approached a roundabout ( one i particularly love to crank into ) i heard her say out loud ...." i hate this"......i replied " you hate what" ...and actually felt her jump in shock ...silly mare forgot she had intercom
