A bit late notice, but the weather is looking good tomorrow evening now, so a window of opportunity.

Meet at The 7Diner, Polhill,TN14 7AA (but see "What's pi$$ed me off today........!!")
    Depart 18:30

Return about 1.5 hours later for swift drink at a local hostelry.

All welcome, but please indicate if you are interested.

If you do attend I would advise clear visors, it will be very dark under trees etc.
Oh, and wrap up for when the sun goes down!

Thursday i think Wessons do a late night opening so while i can't get up to the diner for your leaving time if you head south i can meet for a coffee there.

Probably the best cancelled ride I have been on in quite a while - that blew the cobwebs away:

    about 144mls door to door.

Sorry for sounding thick - but what is a "progressive" marker on a ride? Does this mean we should of progressed from riding with stabilisers to needing sliders?

In case you're serious:rolleyes:. Pootle, Progressive or Blat but as we all ride our own ride & can meet at the end its to give idea of pace. Seems to work & helps prevent boredom:sleep:.....or stress:eek: of course.

Don't think it was us mate, unless it was between Whatlington and John's Cross at about that time.
I must get some SECB stickers, then I would be more easily recognised!
Yes, we'll led Bob, and thanks for getting me back in time to take SWMBO to dinner.
Sorry for anyone who fancied the ride, but it was all very hastily arranged in the end.

We'll put Les. I will always wait for anyone who may get left behind. Ride your own ride every time.
Also, I don't really like putting a rating on my rides, and I think that's the first time I've done it!
I think it may turn people off attending.

You are forgetting "relaxed" & "moderate" - I have seen them posted. How many sub versions are there? And why code names - What is wrong with Slow, Medium, Fast & Lunatic (Not sure why I thought of Tom when I put last class in :lol2:) I agree coding is a good idea, the last thing any of us want is to turn up in our racing gear to find we are riding out with a group on Honda 70's (not literal) or visa versa.

There`s only 4. Learner Friendly, relaxed, moderate & progressive. Some ppl like to cover as many miles as they can while others may just want to take in the scenery. It can also be a bit daunting for learners or new riders to turn up on a ride out & see everyone else disappear into the distance. By giving an idea of pace (Its only an idea, not a hard & fast rule) members can decide if they fancy that particular riding style for a given day.

As Les said, whatever the "ride" no-one will ever be left behind as most ride outs use the "2nd rider drop off" system.

Depends on what your definition of fast is of course but Wednesday nights with the elderly would not be a bad place to start :ninja:
