    Guys and gals,

I need to get a thing you stick on/in your bash hat that allows you to answer your phone. When I am on call I am severely restricted with biking as I really need to be able to answer my phone as soon as it rings.

I don't wan't to spend a fortune but conversely don't want to buy a pile of rubbish.

What are the recommendations for such a device as quite frankly I have no idea.

I`ve tried a few that clamp between the shell & lining but all they seem to do is create a space to let wind noise in. As I have a Caberg lid, I`m just waiting on a Caberg Just Speak Easy which is fully internal & has the answer button on the mic boom.

EDIT: Found this link which may help.

That one Russell posted is the same as I had albeit Branded as a "Viper moto sp4". Ignoring the "wind up the shell" problem both myself & Sue got with it, it DID do a good job for streaming music from my phone. Volume was OK at 70mph but I didn`t check it for voice calls as we got ours primarily as rider/pillion intercom. That was the main pitfall as it was DIRE in that respect. Volume both ways shocking in intercom mode. In fact it was that bad, we went back to the tried & tested "punch in the kidney" method of comms.

One got sold to Patyogi & I still have the other fully boxed. You`re more than welcome to try it & if your happy with it, its yours for a score mate.

I have an old Scala Rider headset that came with my Tomtom satnav. It is the old mono version (maybe a Solo) no good for intercom but it may do the phone stuff ok. Although it is a few years old I have never used it (or ever charged it). We use Rider Q2 Pro's for intercoms bike to bike etc.

It is yours if you want to come and pick it up from Rainham, I don't want anything for it.

    Cheers,
    OldMan

Sorry I haven't replied to this thread any sooner.

Lots of great info from you guys, and OldMan, that is one hell of a generous offer!!!!!!!! I would love to have it. If I find it will not work for me I will offer it here for someone else to possibly use.

    I will PM you.
