I am looking forward to trying the Halfway House's free puddings. Apparently they're only free if Les is there, so are you attending, Les? ;)

Who else is coming? I'm slowly working my way through their range of excellent ales: last month's treat was Betty Stoggins (sp?) and a very nice pint it was too.

I would like to come but think I better stick with kick-boxing as, due to meetings, I will be missing a few classes over the next week. However, I will come to next month's for sure as it has been a long time. Make sure you enjoy some dessert for me Richard! Let me know what I would have had lol

I'll describe it in loving detail :) I have no idea why you would regard kicking people as preferable to spending Quality Time with folks who love you dearly and will be utterly miserable and bereft in your absense - not to mention short of an extra portion of pudding...

Well now... tonight's fare consisted of whitebait + rabbit food; liver & bacon & onions + a side dish of fibre and sticky toffee pudding and custard (no skin unfortunately). But the taste was excellent. Happy Panel Man! And I was especially happy since Les was right about the puddings being free. Amazing, really :)

Roadie declared his fish & chips to be top drawer and Les quietly tucked away a steamed sponge, mumbling something about having eaten pizza already. Gary reckoned his prawns (?) to be on the posh side and renamed his dish 'Jenga' because of the manner of stacking them. But posh or not, they all disappeared. I'm not sure that Stars & Stripes eats enough. He was very abstemious. As was Shrimpee - but she was probably still in pain from the unduly effusive greeting I gave her. :fume:Sorry, again, Sue :-(

Tonight's beery experiment for me was 'Halfway to Paradise' - a very nice pint of 4.1 O.G. Yum. Can't wait to try some more of the two dozen or so real ales. :cheers:What a wonderful place this is... Feeling very mellow after putting some of the world to rights. :snore:
