    Apparently this is true! Accessengineer has actually seen the bike, complete with new tyres. Looking forward to seeing them myself some time.

    A ballast reistor won't be needed as it'll be on a t the same time as the headlight, which is running a 25/25w candlelight. But when the horn, the brakelight & all of the lights are on, it puts too much of a load on the 80w windings. When I was using a glass tail light bulb a) it was getting too hot & it partly melted the housing & b) the 21/5 bulb drew too much current. With the LED bulb it'll draw negligible current, so more of the 80w for other electrical circuits.

    But the way the LEDs are mounted on those really small PCBs they'll get shaken off within no time at all, so i'm going to get some clear silicone adhesive & inject that in between the LEDs & make it more solid without obstructing any light being emitted by the LEDs.
