    2. The members Map -does NOT work for me .... but........... I got a map up on google and took a pic with my iphone and plan was to upload to pc.

3 . YET AGAIN THE STUPID iPHONE IS JUST CONSTANTLY loading and says I am not connected to the internet , yet the wiFi dooburry is showing full strength. well pi$$ed off about it grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Gill, I assume you have run all the updates from Microsoft?

It must be working to some degree as you are on it. Try un clicking the compatibility button in ie9 when looking at the map page then refresh the page.

It woud NOT upload the updates for past few weeks so its reen reformatted and then mi stuff put back on (I think thats what he has done) but noticed my virgin box keeps coming up aswell anyway. think i have sussed and gotten rid of them .
PC is working fine - it wont have the Map thingy though . get a grey box . whether i click compatable / refresh page or generally punch screen.

whatever i have done to iphone - (bounced it around the floor a bit) is now online - but to uplaod a pic or anything to the net I have to email it . but thats a prob for another day lol.

Not certain if pc has got ie9 on it now ?? he has forgot to put my photoshop back on so will have to come back anyway

If its been reformatted, you should check that the updates have been installed as a lot of computer repair places won`t reinstall windows updates.

IE8 has compatibility view also, but if it's a reformat then flash / shockwave / java may not be on it. Type each of those into google and you'll get the downloads for them.

If you're getting old ISP accounts then it sounds to me he's done a system restore not a reformat because your PC is unlikely to have come with virgin and ntl accounts on it.
I'm guessing you use outlook for them? Go into the accounts menu and delete the accounts from there, that will stop them. Then in a browser window, head to 'Tools' 'Internet Options' 'Connections' and remove them from there also.

And don't take your pc to guys with spurs (or PC World!) ;)

Thanks Scorts xxx I have uploaded ie9 again. I will check out the shockwave thingy's too. My Virgin and NTL account were on the email system, I have found and deleted them . I f he done a restore - he must have gone back years to drag them out lol.
He was our IT man when I worked (nhs) and have kept in touch with him ever since . I have been on line since 1998 and as yet have never bought a PC from the likes of PC world etc - every one I have had has been built for me or simialr - I would not know what to ask for if I went in shop and bought one - RAM - megga bytes - Visual cards and all that dont interest me - just a pc that works for Facebook and forums and I am happy bunny lol

Statisticly, yeah the amount of miles you do. But look on the bright side, firstly you spotted him and secondly I wasn't there to get caught too! Just kidding, at least it was a 'sensible' speeding. As it were.

Unbelievably the lockup got done over again last night , sods law as we're in the process of moving out of it over the last few days into a new location! Just needed another day or two and we'd have been fine. This time they busted into the persons place next to us and came through the internal wall....

Unfortunately they walked off with Nev's Snap-On toolbox cabinet (that we've noticed so far), but luckily we'd already moved all of the decent tools out previously!

I saw this program, where the perimeter of the lockup/shed was metal, and part of the Alarm system was electrifying the perimeter of the floor...or maybe it was in my dreams....
