so I have started to get a shake on the R6

It's always felt twitchy but today was worse so on the way home I decided to let go of the bars to see if I was getting any wiggle and I do but only when slowing down, breaking or changing direction

Aren't head stocks going to shake all the time ?

Plus there was a burning smell heading into Rye
and a smell of well dog shit that I couldn't shake off leaving rye ( the head stocks not going to get hot enough to smell )

So the question is which is more likely ?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

First off, actually I smelt that and thought it was dog shit. first port of call is front tyre pressure, check it. though my wiggle is generally on hard acceleration on my Ducati, until I adjust front tyre press it stopped it.

nah it happens without braking if I just shut off from a fully open throttle.

Suppose need to get the front in the air and check for movement if not air pressure in tyre

Good Ride out today though Tom especially ride back from Rye :) good to meet up with Rob and Jo.

You sure it did not start when we were following that stinky smelly 2 stroke being hammered along :)

nah I had a few moments early on but put it down to not being on that bike for 4 weeks then blamed the roads
I did have a little moment when I tucked into a corner just behind the RD and my front skipped every which way

Those roads were pretty rough in places, there were some long sections of 2 foot wide trenches that were along our lines for ages, Jo's back end was skipping a little on the worse sections earlier, We were knocking along a bit though

If its binding, pressure on the caliper is already there. So if you cut throttle, the brake is already applied so to speak...you don't need to be squeezing the lever, so if its on one side of the front caliper, any movement (stopping, steering) can magnify the situation. This could account for the burning smell too....just a possibility to check :)

Or maybe its in your mind and you really miss riding the hornet with 20psi :giggle:
