The Bandit is due to celebrate it's first birthday in a couple of weeks, and for it's birthday it has asked for some new boots.

Due to time contraints it will be far easier to have them fitted onto the bike. I'm in the Tunbridge Wells area. So:

    • Any any recommendations for tyres for a K9 650 Bandit? All rounders needed.
    • Any recommended suppliers to supply and fit locally?
    • Any recommended suppliers to fit only?
    • Any recommended suppliers for supply only?

sorry mate i always use a place in bexhill so unless you want to ride 45 mins there it won't help

but would mean your tyres are semi scrubbed in by the time you get home

Would definitely check with Watling Tyres. Some branches (e.g. St Leonards) will remove the wheels for you....some won't.

:cautious:Cack! I need new ones too now. I'm most likely going with pilot road 2's Jim, they're meant to be mustard and if Tom got 5k miles out a set at 20psi they should last me 10!

    Plus they're cheap now there's 3's out. :p

they were so good i didn't need to, after many years riding i have learnt to check while going along, if you fail to get around the corner then maybe it needs air :hah:

lol...i've sent Terry's an email as to what they charge for fitting/balancing loose wheels, as I am going to change my Fronts to Metzelers M5 Interacts (they are about £105 delivered). Current M3 Fronts have lasted 5000 Miles. Rear M3's seem to have a few K's left in them still.

I have front and centre stands on the way, so I will remove my tyres and take them over...although I have asked what they charge if I rode in for a change.

Fast Lane are likely to be under pressure for a bit because Justin (owner) just went to hospital for a quadrupal byepass - so Stuart and Jamie (who inhabit the workshop) were, um, highly stressed on Saturday. They'll still do their best to take care of you, though.

Visited Watling in TWells today to sort a new tyre for the TBird, they now offer a ride in/out service by appointment.( They don't do Harleys or Buells)
