I gave up 8 weeks ago using Champix too after smoking 30 a day for 35 years.
Tried before and got so bad tempered i wanted to fight everyone on the road.
But with champix never had any problems.

I wasn't that desperate to give up.
Only tried them because a pal at work gave up easily with them.
He told me that i wouldn't want a cig. and it would make me feel sick, but it didn't.
After taking the tablets for 3 weeks i thought,i had better try and just stopped .
Took the tablets for another 2 weeks and that was that.
I think they work differently on different people but just try it's really worth it.
One good tip the doctor gave me was to put the £7 + a day in a jar and see how quickly it builds up.

I tried the patches, and they worked until I went back to work :( So I think I will give these a go.

Are they prescription only? Cos my doctor doesn't like me...

They test the carbon monoxide level in your lungs so unless you don't smoke for 24 hours before going to the clinic/doctors they will have a good idea how many you smoke.
Even 5 a day would effect your health so i don't see why they shouldn't give you a prescription.

Give up smoking by sticking one cigarette from each new pack up a fat friend's arse, filter first, then replacing it in the box. The possibility of putting that one in your mouth will put you off smoking any of them. :D
