oh??? funny, on LB they complained if you dare talk about anything other than bikes! I like the personal blah stuff, it makes for much more entertaining reading :)

If you're still in doubt that blokes can't take a hint, consider that when feeling 'the need', women get damp while we grow another bloody leg! Noticed your mood was the same as Ramrider's. If you two ever get together be sure to keep him upright otherwise he'll surely topple off.;)

    1. I really can't believe the bunch of reprobates that T. is seeking advice from. Honestly, seeking advice from us lot on any subject is scary, but romantic liaisons? That’s going to be as effective as inviting HyabusaDave to a Chinese Lantern race.
    2. It is, however, good to see that T. has found a subject that has brought Panel Man out of his self imposed ‘forum chastity’. How are you Richard? How’s business?
    3. If the object of T’s desires is a biker, might the approach of calling him ‘cute’ have a bearing on his new found monastic silence? To some such an approach will lead him to speak in an artificially deep voice for the next hour, while sloshing pints of beer down the throat and over his clothes as an alternative to aftershave, and restricting all conversation to football, rugby and cricket, interjected occasionally with ‘I’m a bloke, I’m not “cute’”’.

Droll, Jim, very droll. :) I never could resist a damsel in some distress, and either I have fallen hook line and sunk without trace for a woman's idea of a site giggle ("Can you ladies believe they all actually thought they could help?") or Tanya forgot for a moment that she belongs to the superior sex which can run rings around us mere males in so many, many ways. But we don't mind, because we think we have got the women running in circles at our beck and call - it's just the way you tell 'em...

But business is bl@@dy good, thanks for asking; I'm just in need of reminding myself that there are human beings in the world who don't necessarily want to screw me... er, that didn't come out right, but I hope you know what I mean. I am so hoping I shall be able to hop onto the machine in the picture on the left this weekend. Haven't dared consult Wind Guru or the Beeb for weather forecast...

Excellent news Richard. That brief response sounds so positive, we'll have to meet and hear the details.

Well phone her back then, and put her out of her misery!

He obviously thought you were out of his league, is gay, married or is in a relationship, has a small todger or just doesnt have the bottle to take you out. Is he of maturer years (over 25 according to my daughter) and been single for a number of years? If so then he may have lost all confidence. Now, I think I may have sort of met/seen you and cant think why he wouldnt! ;)

Personally, I would generally have been delighted if a girl asked me out as it takes the stress out of having to do the asking! Maybe he's just in shock, or isn't really sure if you mean it. It's also just possible (I obviously don't know the situation) that he's recovering from a previous relationship and, no matter how much he likes you and at other times might have jumped at the chance, is now feeling unwilling to start a new one and is scared of what might happen. He might just be trying to be sensible, and need a little time. Doesn't mean you can't be friends, he might just be feeling awkward about it at the moment

If a girl tells you you're cute YOU'VE SCORED! This fella probably knows full well which stage of the game he's at he's silence means one of three things,
    1. He definately isn't interested and you have scared him off, this may be because
    a) He's married/already in a relationship and was just flirting
    b) He doesn't find you attractive, (unlikely as every Fireman at my station thought you were, sorry but you may need that 'pick me up' at the mo?)

2.He's interested but extremely steady nerved and is playing it cool. In which case I admire his behaviour under fire! He will get back in touch.

3.Dead. Hopefully not! As we will never know and this thread has earnt a conclusion!

Hmmm what would I do? (if I was a girl) contact him once more for a definitive answer then move on! Life's too short and we can spend lots of pointless time and effort trying to work people out and to what end?

    Chin up Tanya!

Well Tanya... have you heard anything? It's been nearly 48 hours and if not then I'd be bloody surprised. I'm really hoping you didn't send him a drunk text last night?

Chin up girly... you've got a big support network here.
