32L or 7.5gal for the pre metrics.

@ 40mpg (which is a fair guess on a small engine) say 250miles assuming it wasn't filled to the brim.
I did a shade under 120 and it's about 20% (I think, had other things on my mind last night :p) should see me 200miles at that point (napkin math), have to check the plugs but i'm suspecting they're going to be a bit sooty. If they're not, then.... erm. Dunno.

Didn't actually nail it, I'm not that mental. Kept about 50 ish, the Mini bonnet has amazing air flow when closed anyway :D Get you home belt sounds interesting, although I have recovery but given they were the problem I'm not convinced about them doing anything other than actual recovering.
Santa is hopefully going to furnish me with a small box of useful spares (5 fan belts), a cigarette lighter pump, a cigarette lighter socket, some tools and anything else that will fit under the seats.

I want to trust peole, I really do but it's so hard when they keep confirming my suspicions that they're morons.
New RAC chap came out, been on the job 17 years, loves cars you can use a spanner on. Tried to fit the same model fan belt as was on the car (the recently replaced one) couldn't get it to slip over the alternator spindle.

Think we have our problem right there, it would seem the previous guy decided to just lever it on despite being overly tight even with the alternator slackened right off. Next size up, slipped right on.

Now to fix the thirst, 25mpg is not ideal for a 1275! And the oil leak that seems to be coming from nowhere at all... :think1:

bit of a storey here but the end is what pissed me off......
bought my daughter a little 50cc scooter a few years back and she basically lost interest in it in the first week so recently she sold it to my 17 year old neice i put some hours in it to bring it up to scratch for its mot which it passed with flying colours after siiting in our back garden for 3 years.
Neice passes her cbt and starts using it to back and forth to school ( good for her ) last night she is riding home through rochester and stops at a set of lights only to get rear ended by a car .....driver gets out makes sure she is ok ...shaken and the odd bruise from falling off but all in all ok the scoot seems ok apart from the odd scratch on the plastics apparently he only JUST touched her ....driver sods off ...no offer of insurance details or feck all ....she is an inexperienced kid and he took full advantage of that to cover his feck up

That's real shitty to hear, man. Don't suppose it was in town or near a train station where they may have cctv running? Bit of luck he ended up in a ditch a few miles down the road, behind a hedge and isn't found for a month.
I believe in karma, I also believe in prompting it if it's taking too long.

Hope she's okay, but why isn't she on the forum ;)

Cynical people. It's like they listen to you being really enthusiastic about something you like or enjoy, and then decide to just shit on it and you for liking or doing it.

Fuck right off cynics. Let me enjoy myself. Don't kill my buzz, man.

Changing the password on unlock my work blackberry then getting it wrong five times (having tried different possibilities) and now it's wiping itself, for the third time. Erm... don't mind too much as it's easy enough to get all the contact details back on but it's now wiping for the fourth time and I just want to get on with resetting it!

EDIT: Now it's 'scrubbing' - for the second time. Grrrr...
