Aye, but I'm suspecting it won't be an issue unless I manage to coerse anyone into joining me :p

My dad is having a housewarming on Saturday night which has scuppered heading down sarf early, but if anyone fancies free food / drink and a party then I'll swap you for some company down on Sunday.

Date as above. Ride out by KSB in support of the Kent Air Ambulance from Rye to Marden Kent Air Ambulance.

Aiming to leave Rye at approx 10:30am. Route to be confirmed but aiming to reach Marden around 11:30am leaving plenty of time to make a donation (say £10 per bike) & enjoy a day out.

Please put your name below so I can gauge numbers as I may have to contact KAA to make sure they can accommodate us all.

OK ladies & gents. Just been in convo with my mate who offered us his field. As the field may well be a bit muddy, he has not only offered us the use of his reasonably large drive but his youngest (14) is going to make us all tea & cakes for 50p each to cover costs. :D

As I have still not managed to ride the Blade.....as a back up if I am unable to ride on Sunday we will turn up with 4 wheels rather than 2. Not an ideal situation but it's important not to miss this fundraiser.

Talking of donations Paul . I wondered how you were going to collate the money? Rather than all just come up with a tenner when we get there, it might be a nice gesture to present them with the £500 or so, in one big go! So perhaps collecting the money at the start may be an idea? Also do you want me as back marker on the day (in all me day glo gear!), only ask so that I make sure Iam totally familiar with the route. Kinda know it already but like to be prepared!:)

Yeah...Megawatt...the Blade is not the problem. I had an op (not the same one as Yoda, I wish to point out) and things have not healed as quickly as I was led to believe.

The group donation has been bandied about already & I think its a top notch idea. I`ll probably do the collection at the regroup point. I think I`ll take you up on the back marker offer Jim. You can`t get a much more distinctive bike for back marking than the fire bike.

If I can have a couple of volunteers as junction markers that would be good so we don`t have to worry about 1 person having to make his way through the field to get back to 2nd man.

I could detour through Maidstone, but it will be early as I am meeting a couple more in Cranbrook at 8.30, then more in Sandhurst at about 9 then onto Rye for about 10 for coffee and a chuckle or three before the ride. And may the :sun2:shine on the righteous ALL DAY.

The regroup point is about a mile from the KAA site. I`ll post up a google maps link when I get home tonight so everyone knows the routes.
