Has anyone ever been to a club race before?

I've been thinking of going to some of the Mini Twins series and can find details of the dates on http://www.bemsee.net/ but going to the actual tracks website gives no way of booking tickets or seeing the events even though they have a selection for Club racing (e.g. for Brands and Snetterton).

Before I email the BMRC,wondering if anyone knows if these types of races are restricted to members only even for just spectators or if it's just turn up on the day rather than buying tickets in advance.

    Thanks

Over the last few years ive been to alot more clubmans racing than national and have to say its brilliant:thumbsup: they are normally on the circuits websites and the bemsee website. You pay on the gate its about £12.

I'm up for watching a brands hatch event.

I'd prefer to compete but I'd finish a few laps down on the others ha ha !

Yeah, just wondered if it was 250/400s, that'd be a good series I think.

There was a website about it but it seems to either be down or defunct (minitwins.com).

The most active info I've found about the bikes seems to be on http://www.jhsracing.co.uk/mini_twins.htm

Cached Google copy for minitwins.com has it as:
"The series is open to any water cooled, four stroke, twin cylinder machine of up to 650cc, or air cooled, four stroke machine of up to 820cc. Tuning is limited to adding a race exhaust system and altering the jetting, or fuel injection mapping for the more modern bikes. Suspension may be modified and race bodywork can be added. The modifications are limited to keep development and running costs to a minimum"

Bemsee and Thundersports GB events are normally £12 but I can sometimes get spare tickets from friends involved in the racing. Its well worth the money though as you get tonnes of races in one day to watch. I love the atmosphere too, although still itch to be back on the track rather than watching lol! I'm always up for going to watch so let me know which ones you decide on!

My friends son, Aaron Easter used to ride in the mini twins and it's some of the closet racing to watch. Plus the crowds are nothing like bsb so you get the pick of the circuit to view it
