We go abroad every year to Holland for the motogp aboard this lovely ferry (actual this is the old one and has been replace last year for a shinny new one)

The crossing is always good sea sickness wise as i get to drive sometimes ( and i'd had 5 pints lol)

But if you have never been its well worth putting it on your calender

What plans have you got for 2012?

Two weeks traveling round Scotland in June/July..

Starting with an escorted tour then the second week I'm on my own but does allow me to tie it in with the BSB race at Knockhill.

People are so going to get earache about this but really excited as it's my first long bike tour. Longest so far was a long weekend in Wales so this going to be interesting :rubhands:

You'll love it, honest!! The dutch are so freindly, love their beer like we do and know how to party for sure. Its not a cheap 4 days as the euro is strong against the £ and a pint of beer is about a £4-5 but who cares when your on holiday :)

Hoping to drive to southern France again then into the Alps, hood down wind in the hair (obviously, not me). Nothing booked so just sort of make it up as we go. Other than that we fancy the lake district in Spring. Might even be able to sneak the 450 onto the trailer without being seen:thumbsup: .

Only every been to the peak district once and that was on a school bus. But do remember the roads being perfect for bikes then and would imagine the lake district roads are pretty much the same? Been a very busy couple of years for me and this year should be a bit more relaxed. Been building an extension for the last 2 and a half years on my own house which is now finished so spare time is now my own again (im a builder by trade). I spent almost every weekend working on it plus the odd days here and there which has ment no track days or much time to ride  Still managed Assen though :)

Looking at two this year (with the wife!)...Dominican Republic (April time) and then Teneriffe (Octoberish), not sure which way round to do it though. And a couple of camping trips on the bike are in order too!

I`m off to Tenerife for a week in June & then again in December. I`ll also be doing the SECB rally, which I may take a day off work either side. The rest of my holiday entitlement will be as odd sunny days off in the summer & emergency time off.

Still undecided about our April hols as it'll be my 40th b'day (probably either Italy or Turkey as I have cheapo connections in both). Off for a bit of hiking / climbing (Via Ferrata style) in the Tatras Mountains between Slovakia & Poland in June though. We attempted 'Rysy' (2503mt) last year but had to abort as we ran out of daylight / energy... so this'll be our second run. Done a few of the other peaks there, so it'll be another one off the list. Then off into Czech Republic for a mooch around on our way back 'West'. September hols also undecided as that's way too far ahead to plan.
