    We all remember what our dreams were as a kid! What did you want to be?

    I'll be game and go first - Apparently when I was 5 I wanted to be a hot dog seller

    and a "banana-bus" driver (as I called them aka bendy bus drivers)!!

    To be honest, I cannot remember what I wanted to be/do. I do know that it wasn't this job/career as I didn't know it existed.

    :nthread: I'm afraid I am only getting a little closer to what I wanted to be (a car mechanic). At least I sometimes get to use power tools, and one day I shall be able to afford some decent cars again ('and one day, Thomas, men shall walk on the moon'). When I finally retire, I hope I shall be limber enough and mentally fit enough to play with them too. Oh, and the bikes!

    I allways wanted to be a Crane Driver / Drag.line - on tracks - the neasrest I got was Transport manager at a Heavy Plant Hire firm - and they never had drag lines Just Lorry Mounted and JCb's etc ........

    I wanted to live long enough so that my dreams didn't become my regrets.

    Less philosophically, I wanted to be an architect. However, as I wasn't afforded the luxury of being able to attend college (let alone Uni), that particular career path died before it germinated. :mad:.

    First I wanted to be a stewardess but would never have been tall enough lol! Then I wanted to be the first ever female motocross champion but it was years before I even tried biking. However, apparently I did used to line up my teddies, Snoopys etc and teach them so I guess eventually becoming a teacher was always on the cards!

    As a child I wanted to be pilot (like my dad), then a stunt man (I used practice by rolling down the stairs in our house!), at one point I wanted to be a lawyer...Then at 14 I found fags (found these at 8 really), beer, betting and girls! Very minimal qaulifications and loads of jobs later I still dont know what I actually want to do...Apart from retire early! Nevermind, just do what you do as best as you can is what I say now. Work to live, not live to work! And just keep smiling :)

    I can remember being about 6 and wanting to be an attorney in New York. (Yeah, WTF?)

    Now, I'm The Hippy In The City, and my only ambitions are to live in a tree house in West Sussex, keep some chickens, and get owned by a few cats.
