Drain the oil and have a look at it then. Is your bike air or liquid cooled?

It shouldn't play havoc with oil systems, as the pour point of Grade 3 oils (most bike oil) is about -10°

As Mega says, do you mean a compression tester or an oil pressure gauge. If you mean oil pressue gauge you have a light that shows when its too low, if you want an indipendant gauge you'll need a take off pipe fitted to the sump.

    What's the problem?

Probably just condensation then! Get engine warm, in a warm garage preferably, drain oil out and leave moisture to evaporate. Don't forget to put drain plug and oil back in though, or replace oil with fresh stuff?

    Dammit, replies while I replied.

Chances are its just a little emulsifiying due to the cold, condensation forms in the pathways and causes the milky looking deposits. A healthy blast will evaporate the water and clear it up. If the whole of the oil is milky its a headgasket indicator.

That's what happens when you don't ride it enough?

Hmmm, wonder how it got condensation in it then. Is it parked outside?

Hot engine, cold atmosphere. Same way condensation usually forms :p
