No, I know - nothing new. However, ACUTRAC are now selling them for £325 which includes three years' subscription. Peace of mind for the price of a decent helmet? I know which I'll choose, esp since my birthday's coming up! MAG members get 15% off.

Just thought I'd let you know .

Doesn't make diddly squat difference on insurance quotes (in my experience) and I'm unconvinced they make any real difference on recovery rates - but I don't have any figures to confirm or deny this.

I'd save my money for something much more enjoyable. Like a new pair of shoes.

So long as NCP is protected I might not really the want it back after being ragged around the fields by thieving scumbags. Did find a couple though that were fitted with them.

Les - you rag your bikes around the fields & tracks whenever you can anyway :)
Hanna - yes, we know... 'priorities'.

Seriously though - whilst the Police may not bother to go and get the bike back and insurance may not be any cheaper, surely the satisfaction of locating the thieving bastards that stole your bike and giving them a damn good kicking is a worth a few hundred quid of anyone's money? From experience, I'd have paid double that when they nicked my 'Blade.

I guess if the bike is something special it may be worth it, but hardly anyone gets nicked, usually just the bike gets found. With vehs likely to be fitted with them, the scum often leave them outside for a couple of days after nicking them to see if they're found. The Blade we found had a blueprinted engine which Honda were pleased to see again.

Take Hanna's advice & buy yourself a nice pair of blue stiletto slingbacks instead.

Pricey for something that most thieves would just disable with a cheap pocket jammer.
