Or when someone is close to you on your left hand side and an ejected hot case lands just above your smock hood and you get burnt.

Ask me how I know

I learnt a long time ago that when on the ranges, try to bag pegs 1 or 2 for that very reason ;)

Was last night rather than today but was too late to post up. Heli is now repaired with 2 new main blades, tail rotor & tail motor. Just got to check the blade tracking & its ready for its maiden flight :D

Just found out that, due to some changes to the corporate T&Cs on redundancy, I'll be getting some extra £££ as part of my payoff. This, plus payment for untaken holiday (pending confirmation) means that I should be able to make my money stretch to four months, as opposed to three.

Still hoping to get a job much sooner than the money runs out but it's nice to know. :)

Redundancy pay-offs are not taxable are they? That'd make it stretch even more... Even if they are, try getting your Code amended now on the assumption that you won't find more paid employment for [insert desired holiday period]. Shame you are so close to the end of the tax year, but it may help a small amount.
