Seem to recall from a Formula One race, after a massive engine blow up.
The pit report " The car stopped due to an electrical problem" followed by a comment from Murray Walker....
Yeah looks like the conrod removed the spark plug as it went thru the cylinder head.

    It's the 2012 model. Mine is a 2011, just registered on 1 March 2012 and therefore on a 12 plate. :)

BMW have identified the bikes effected and are recalling them.

Er, at the risk of a severe hand bagging, isn't that 'affected'? I'm sure you aren't yourself at the moment, what with new job, unknown bike to be purchased, impending house move... It's enough to drive a girl utterly batty!

Richard.....give yourself a slap up side de head......Hanna's is a 2011 model, but registered in 2012. Tis the 2012 models that are affected, not the 2011's....got it? Clear as mud yet? Eksellent! ;)
(Or at least, that is how I read it )

    AffectedV EffectedMeaning:
"Affected" means "impacted, created an effect on".
"Effected" means "executed, brought about, produced something."

I do believe your right Richard ... However...there may be consequences for correcting H, :scary: so Ive provided the appropriate smiley for you :chide: ..... and one for me :mrun:

The good thing about being Stupid is that you don't know when you are being Brave. It has helped me in all sorts of ways over the last half a century or so. Of course, it has also led to some quite ...ah affecting moments. I do realise I am at major risk of having buckets of syntaxical scorn poured all over me by La Hanna, but I am now hoping desperately (NB not 'desperately hoping') she will just laugh it off!

'You're' not 'your'. Your English is well bad.

You know what the stupid thing is... I wrote 'affected' originally, then got distracted, came back to the post and for some reason changed it to 'effected'. Must be going senile in my old age. I'm sure Richard can give me some advice on how to cope with that. ;)

You two should race to determine the victor!

I'm happy to start it, but I go to bed early these days, so don't expect me to hold the checkered flag :ner:

It's also nice to see that you used the British spelling for 'spelt' and not the retarded American version: 'spelled'. Full marks, A++, see me after the lesson ;)
