    Barrelled into a sweeping left hander at about 90, only to find that the bikes in front had slowed behind a car. Oooops. Applied both anchors bloody hard and inevitably my bike stood upright, sending me out towards the white line and almost into the opposite lane... and into the path of the afore-mentioned Focus (about 250mts ahead). The driver promptly shat himself and moved over towards the verge and I graciously thanked the inventor of ABS. Not exactly heart-racing, but a silly mistake on an unfamiliar road. Here endeth the lesson.
