Speeding Tickets

    OK, seems like the Sussex plod had a field day on the May Day run....

    Have been down to Hastings I led a small group to Rye (inc Zoe, Graham and others) and it would appear that the group was caught passing one of the mobile units on that nice stretch of road before you get to Winchelsea.

    It was well hidden (behind the trees) in the lay-by as you go down the dip. Thankfully, I did spot it and applied some braking power and I am hoping that I have got away with it...owing to the fact I have not received a N.I.P. yet.

    Talking to Zoe yesterday...the speeds they got "observed at" were between 69mph and 78mph.

    Will take the edge off a very nice day somewhat.....

    yer i have heard from a lot of people the police have been handing these little nips out. mayday will have been a nice money earner for them.

    Maybe if everyone asked to see all the calibration reports, checked the road to ensure the signs are "legal" as most aren't these days

    it was one of the reasons i didn't go to rye last year from hastings and another reason i went elsewhere this year.

    I saw them there and hopefully I got on the brakes soon enough too. Not sure the 5-6 riders in front of me did though!
