Mmmmmm. Have been doing some reading. I believe the explanation for why the 12th is cheaper than some other trackdays on the GP circuit is because it is a four group day (2 x intermediate) rather than 3 group which is what the £220 days are. So we save a few bob but get proportionally less track time.

Then I came across my next problem, the noise limit for the GP circuit is 101dba, rather than the Indy circuit's 105dba (daytime) and 102dba (evening). So with a last test reading of 102dba do I.....

    a) Re-pack the silencer before I go (bearing in mind if you pack it slightly too tight you can add 2dba rather than lose it).
    b) Wait until the day, than repack it if it fails noise test (bearing in mind it will take an hour to drill the rivets, re-pack, re-rivet, re-test etc.)
    c) Bend the needle on the tacho?

    Decisions, decisions......

Hmm. How would they deal with my bike that tops out at 5500rpm? Although I suspect mine will be too loud even at that.

As I'm having to ride up I wont be able to pack much in my backpack. I was thinking about bringing my laptop for instant video playback and photo viewing.
@ Ducky, if you happen to come across an old knackered carbon Triumph race can lying around in your garage if you throw it in the van, I'll take it off your hands;)

Buy a slip in baffle - £10 or whatever they are and tap it in for the noise check, they 'always' fall out anyway :p

Paul will you be putting the Sp1 on the track at all? If so I can fit my diy video camera onboard it for you.

Taking both, and using the SP1 for at least the 1st two sessions and see how I feel after that, if its dry proberly use the CBR after, it would be nice to have a camara fitted

Providing I get a good start tomorrow I should be down to watch with disdain and amusement... I mean heartfelt enthusiasm and cheering.
I'll bring my helmet cam and some duct tape for anyone who wants to film it. Plus a note pad to know who is who after, it'll hold 12hours+ in full HD so should be okay.

Might even try to sneak on the track
